The Eminence in shadow Season 2 has been Official announced in a special live- Stream by the main cast of the series on February 22, 2023 (16:30) JST, Just one Week after Season 1 Finale, 20 Episode. The Upcoming Season will revolves around Lawless city and will cover the “The Red Moon Arc” if the series goes according to light novel. The Series will be animated by Nexus Studio.

The Eminence in Shadow (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! 2nd season) based on the light novel written by Daisuke and Illustrated by Touzai debuted in 2018 and has 5 Volumes till now. Yen Press is publishing both light novels and manga in English. The second season of the anime will adapt volume 3 of the light novel series.
The light novel has also adapted into Manga by Anri Sakano Published in Kadokawa Shoten with 10 Volumes Available and being Published in English by Yen Press Since November 23, 2021.
