The anime focuses on two Insomniacs teenagers who are unable to sleep due to their past trauma but find solace in each other, let’s explore their journey of accepting each other to their fullest.

Kimi Wa Houkago Insomnia manga explanation
The manga was written & Illustrated by Makoto Ojiro in Big Comic Spirits in May 2019. The manga focuses on a Grumpy and gloomy boy Ganta Nakami who is not so popular in school and struggles with Insomnia. On the other hand, our female lead, Isaki Magari also shares the same problem as our Main lead. Nakami and Magari meet in Observatory which is now turned into the school storage room and a secret and weird connection of insomnia turns into a relationship or something even more.

Nakami is a studious but cranky, antisocial high schooler who gets on his classmate’s nerves. However, his bad attitude comes from the fact that he has a sleeping disorder, and frequently spends nights on end without a single minute of sleep. During the preparations for the school festival, he is begrudgingly sent to the school’s astronomy observatory to gather cardboard boxes, a place which is said to be haunted by the dire happenings of the now-defunct astronomy club.

He finds the isolated place a haven ripe for him to sleep, but while rummaging around, he found his classmate Isaki Magari who was sleeping inside a locker. Isaki unlike him is a popular girl in the school but also hides her problem with insomnia. looking for a middle ground, they decide to sleep together to make this observatory their private club to sleep in…….
My Opinion
If you looking for a Romantic Slice of life then this manga is for you, a good storyline, better illustrations, and realistic characters in a wholesome retable way. the manga pace is perfect and the way the story depicts some emotional scenes with is great. A realistic yet unconventional story of two teenagers who hides their problem from the world yet find peace in each other.
Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia Will also have live action in June 2023. MORI NANA & OKUDAIRA DAIKEN will play the main leads.
